Oily Hair/Skin-

This is an imbalance of the oil production in the scalp and skin. Like acne, improving liver function can help. Also, excess oil production often indicates that not enough moisture is present, so the skin is overproducing to compensate. Even with oily skin, a good moisturizer is necessary.

Nettle-nettle leaf can help with balancing the oil production at the skin surface. Make a tea using 1/2 ounce of nettle leaf in 1 pint boiling water. Steep for 15 minutes. Strain. Cool. Apply to skin or use as a hair rinse.

AHA's- alpha hydroxy acids derived from fruit acids are used as face peels, and are helpful in treating excess skin oil.
