Bruises-

Result from blood which leaks out of capillaries into the skin, usually after an injury. Easy bruising may result from a deficiency of Vitamin C and/or bioflavonoids, hypothyroidism, menopause, excessive intake of aspirin, ibuprofen or other "blood thinners", and platelet disorders. If you experience significant bruising following even minor trauma, check with your health care provider.

Arnica- an excellent herb for topical use on bruises from trauma. It has pain relieving and anti-inflammatory properties. Apply arnica oil or arnica cream or ointment to the area 3 times a day. You can also take homeopathic Arnica tablets or pills as directed on the package.

Caution: Do not apply Arnica products to broken skin.
Do not take Arnica oil or liquid extract internally, only the homeopathic form is safe for internally use.
